The Visor
In Maya 3D, the Visor is the area from which you choose your Paint Effects brush. On the Brush Exchange, the Visor is where you come to download brushes and brush tutorials from other users.

Installation Instructions:
All brushes are offered as .zip files. A popular Zip decompressor, WInzip, is available for free at http://www.winzip.com/
If you require these files uncompressed, please let me know.

Paint Effects brushes usually consist of two or three files - a .mel script file, an .mel.icon icon file, and sometimes *.iff texture file(s)
To use a brush, simply transfer the *.mel and *.mel.icon files to your brushes folder in Maya (on NT, usually C:\AW\Maya2.5\brushes)
You can create a subdirectory for them, or place them in an existing subdirectory (i.e. trees)
Texture image files (*.iff) normally go in your brushImages folder (i.e. C:\AW\Maya2.5\brushes\brushImages)
Some submissions may include additional images - see the author's instructions or readme.txt for details.

All submissions have been virus-checked using McAfee Antivirus before being uploaded.
