A HISTORY OF THE MUSEUM

The Elvis Room contains thousands of rare recordings,
souvenirs and memorabilia, many of which were collected
during the few trips Kevin has made to the home of Elvis
Presley. (He has been through the house itself 17 times!),
Graceland.
He has a total of approximately 5,000 recordings
80% of which were imported - including LPs, EPs,
10" LPs, 45s, 78s, cassettes, compact discs,
laser discs, gold and silver records and picture
discs of all sizes.
Some of his personal favourites and rarer items
include 24 carat gold discs, 50s - 60s bootleg
recordings and interviews, an autographed 10"
Christmas album signed in 1968, concert tickets
to a '68 show in the U.S.A., an original Elvis
autograph (recently valued at $800NZ) as well as
many other Elvis family autographs, an Elvis
guitar badge previously owned by Elvis' Uncle
Vester Presley, a personally signed copy of Harold
Lloyd's (Elvis' 1st cousin) "The Graceland
Gates", a scarf from a 1974 performance in
Memphis, and many items donated by appreciative
visitors.
The museum has reached a point where the total
value of the contents is beyond estimation.
Kevin also trades rare Elvis paraphernalia with
overseas fans to enhance his own collection.
