David Simmons

David Simmons David Simmons is the author of many books about Maori art. He, along with the late Maui Pomare, was responsible for co-ordinating the highly successful "Te Maori" exhibition which toured America in the mid 80s. He is a former Ethnologist and Trustee of the Auckland Museum, and is currently assisting Dalvanius with "Mokomokai: The Documentary". Scoffed at by many and adored by others, Simmons was responsible for a comprehensive catalogue listing Maori artefacts and Koiwi held in American and Canadian facilities.
