MINORITY RIGHTS INTERNATIONAL

My Association with Minority Rights International also began in 1983, the same time as Survival International. I was introduced to them by Perminder Vir who worked at the Ethnic Minority's Unit of the Greater London Council. I also canvased for their support in the campaign to have the NZ Labour Governments 40% Sales Tax on Maori Language and NZ music removed. Minority Rights supported that campaign as well as our American Museum of Natural History Campaign for the return of the 35 Robley MOKOMOKAI collection.

We have their continued support for our work in Educating Western Nations who retain our ancestors in their Museums that Maori fiind this distasteful and an Infringment on their Indigenous Rights. We continue to value their support and support their many programs for our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
