The Montauk Experiment
The Philadelphia Experiment, otherwise known as Project Rainbow, has been a subject of long controversy and debate. It was an attempt by the Navy to create a ship that could not be detected by magnetic mines and/or radar, a movie of the same name was spawned from the story. The experiment supposedly went horribly wrong and the results included time travel and madness... A man named Preston Nichols was interviewed in the late 80s and information from that interview is now available at http://www.crystalinks.com/montauk.html. It's a fascinating read, regardless of whether or not you believe it Check it out...

The Montauk Project is a very fishy, doubtful tale launched by some people around Al Bielek, who himself claims to be an eyewitness and survivor of both the famous Philadelphia Experiment and the Montauk Project.
For Bielek, it is a know fact that his part of the stories is a hoax. See http://www.bielek.debunked.com
for details. The other gentlemen around Bielek named Nichols, Cameron and publisher Moon of Sky Books don't appear to be more credible - the only positive thing to tell about them is that they managed to write and successfully sell a lot of books and "underground videos", portraying their (and only their) view of the subjects.
I recommend to spent your time and money on useful things instead...
Hey golf, thanks for the info. As I said in my article, it's an interesting read whether or not you believe it (and I didnt spend any money or more than a fleeting moment on it). Would be fun if it was true. Thanks for the link, I'll mention it in next week's article. You gotta love the net for nailing fakers :)
cheers!
