Octomatics

Octomatics (octal mathematics) is a project that promotes a new numbering system based on the number 8. Some advantages of this new system are that working with binary numbers becomes very easy, addition becomes a visual process rather than involving calculation, and the multiplication table is much smaller than with the usual base 10.
