Case Study
Venture Taranaki
In order to promote the unique and vibrant Taranaki, the Venture Taranaki Trust came to Digitalus with the need to integrate the region's online presence into one single, coherent website.
Learn More
Originally, the various aspects of the Taranaki region were disparate websites with no cohesive online presence. This made it difficult to navigate and the user struggled to draw any real information from these websites.

The region’s promotional strategy is split into several sections such as ‘Visit’, ‘Live’, ‘Business’ etc. These sections were redesigned and plugged into the new regional tourism portal. This portal allowed each section of the project to be maintained by separate teams from Venture Taranaki Trust. In order to allow for such distinct usage requirements by the client, a completely customised content management system was created with multiple levels of access – this allows for controlled content management by the various administrators. Content that includes web pages, news feeds and image galleries.

The website features an integrated jobs board, allowing users to view the various jobs currently up for grabs in Taranaki. It also features an online application system so users can apply directly and efficiently. These jobs can be updated through the CMS by the administrator, or they can be submitted by employers after a registration process. This registration process also gives the option for the users to subscribe to the online newsletter. The online newsletter, which is run and mailed out from the CMS, allows information about the region to be quickly distributed to residents and potential migrants alike. Also featured are RSS feeds, allowing users to stay up to date with changes in the Taranaki region as well as job opportunities.

All these features, plus the stunning design, turned several disparate websites into a cohesive, single entity encompassing the Taranaki region and its future.
