Having been in the web development game for over 12 years, we have developed our own in-house methodology that takes the stress out of the development process and that keeps projects on time and on budget. We call this the methodology the '5 Ds':

Define:

Defining the needs and objectives of the project is the first step. During this stage we meet with the people involved and talk through the details of the project. Once we have a good understanding of the scope, we can then provide a development estimate.

Document:

The second step involves consolidating and elaborating on the information gathered in step one into a documented format that explains the project in a detailed manner. The purpose of this documentation is to 'realise' the project on paper and allow all parties to provide input and sign off before development commences.

Design:

How the site looks, feels and functions is a very important part of the process. Design defines how your organisation is perceived online. Our designers will craft a great looking site that matches the target audience. Your level of involvement during this step is entirely up to you.

Develop:

Once steps one to three are completed, we can start on the actual development of the project. The Develop stage is essentially the cohesion of the design and documentation into a functioning website.

Deliver:

The final stage involves testing the project for functionality and usability. The project will also be tested on a wide range of website browsers to ensure it looks the same whether the user is on Mac, Windows or Linux. When all parties are satisfied with the site, it can go live.
